The first 5G smartphone will be a Samsung
This was confirmed at the Qualcomm Snapdragon Technology Summit which began this Tuesday, December 4, 2018: the Samsung Galaxy S10 will be the first smartphone compatible with 5G networks to be distributed by the American operator Verizon.
For this to be possible, Samsung has equipped its next flagship with a Snapdragon X50 modem.
It remains to be seen whether in Europe the Galaxy S10 will also be compatible with 5G networks since with us the terminal should embark a home processor Exynos.
