The fan embarked on a remake of San Andreas in Far Cry 5 -apkrig

Despite several cases this year, as part of their solution, representatives of Take-Two Interactive oppose people who are trying to make their own “remakes” of the Grand Theft Auto series, we have another case. This time, the development of the GTA remake: San Andreas, a Reddit user with the nickname MapEditorMaster, who, unlike his colleagues could succeed. His aim is not to take graphic materials from the original games of the GTA series, resp. is to create them to match the prototype, and to make them a kind of new but copyright-infringing game. As the enthusiast’s nickname suggests, San Andreas has decided to create a map editor inside Far Cry 5 and, in his words, all the content is his maps created manually.

MapEditorMaster did not write anything more about his deed. In the title of his post on Reddit, he only stated that he was reworking GTA: San Andreas from scratch and would soon provide footage of his own acting. However, the report is already accompanied by a short video in which fans will undoubtedly recognize old familiar places that – admittedly – thanks to the Far Cry 5 engine and the ant work of the remake author look naturally better than the current official remaster.

Only in other comments does he reveal that he is the editor in the fifth part of the aforementioned Far Cry series and discuss with other discussants the legal (in) flawedness of his efforts. Many discussants point out that Take-Two, as the publisher of Grand Theft Auto, acts relatively uncompromisingly towards those who try to use their intellectual property, let alone parasitize it from various angles, but MapEditorMaster defends itself and says that it is his work. does not take-two how and why to attack.

“Rockstar can’t help me for simple reasons, although of course I can be wrong. It’s all based on the Dunia game of Far Cry 5 […], I created the whole thing from the ground up and I will provide a record of the whole process, “says the author of the remake. He then explains that, according to his interpretation, Rockstar, and therefore Take-Two, prohibits their intellectual property from being tampered with or otherwise interfering with their software. This is said to not happen in this case, which MapEditorMaster later underlined by working only on a small section of the original map, because it has no way to modify that editor.

But not everyone is convinced that what is being created at the hands of the enthusiast will actually escape the attention of Take-Two, or Ubisoft, which is of course responsible for the content shared within their games. In addition, one of the moderators of Reddit r / GTA points out that the intellectual property of Rockstar is undoubtedly the layout of the buildings themselves, if not their appearance, and recommends to the author remakuto throw the work in the trash before the inconvenience could occur.

So we’ll see how the situation develops – we can’t put aside the fact that this way the remake of the game wouldn’t look bad at all, but on the other hand it’s not the author’s own work, which uses logic, physics or engine that he didn’t have to create and procure them for him Dunia. Perhaps that is why we leave aside the praise from the fans who put this de facto map from Far Cry 5 on an equal footing with the titles that must have been created on the green field.
