Many new Apple products are expected in 2022. Usually, the tech giant announces them at a special event. But when will the 2022 Apple events take place? And what products are coming?

Apple events 2022
In an average year, Apple hosts four events. There is usually a spring event in March, a WWDC in June, a September keynote featuring new iPhones, and an October event targeting new Macs.
Because Apple likes to stick to traditions and there have been many rumors about new products, we can already make a good estimate of Apple’s plans for the next calendar year. In this article you can read about the Apple events that we expect in 2022.
Spring event
Expected date: end of March/beginning of April
Apple often hosts an event in March or April. In 2021 the event was very spectacular, as Apple introduced the AirTags, 24-inch iMac and new versions of the 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
Apple is rumored to release a new 27-inch iMac Pro in the spring of 2022. It deserves to be in the spotlight, so we expect Apple to tell more about it at a spring event. Apple may also be launching a new Mac mini, and we think Apple will also announce the iPad Pro 2022.
It also looks like a new iPhone SE will appear in the spring of 2022. According to rumors, it resembles the current version from 2020, but is equipped with a powerful A15 chip and supports 5G. There is a chance that Apple will reveal the device via a press release, instead of an event.
WWDC
Expected date: early June
One event for which we dare to put our hands in the fire is the WWDC in June. This is Apple’s developer conference, which has been held every June since 2007. This usually happens in the first or second full week of that month, on a Monday.
Apple always unveils its new operating systems during WWDC. This year they are iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS 13, watchOS 9, and tvOS 16. Sometimes Apple surprises with new hardware, but we expect it to stay with software this year.
iPhone event
Expected date: mid-September
The September event is what most Apple enthusiasts look forward to the most. Traditionally, Apple presents the latest iPhones. Also in 2022 it will probably be four: the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
The September event is also when Apple unveils its latest smartwatch. The Apple Watch Series 8 probably has the design changes we expected in 2021: flat sides and extra colors. There is also a chance that the Watch will be available in three, instead of two sizes. Apple may also launch the latest entry-level tablet: the iPad 2022.
Apple October Event
Expected date: end of October
Three Apple events is probably not enough for the Cupertino company. Because there are also heavily redesigned AirPods Pro in the works, as well as a newly designed MacBook Air with M2 chip. There is also a good chance that a new iPad Air 2022 will be released.
And if that weren’t enough, Apple will likely unveil a completely new product in late 2022: a VR headset. We just don’t know if Apple will cram all of these products into one event, or if Apple will add another event in November. The last event will then be completely devoted to the new headset.
