The developers reportedly have a Switch Pro, Nintendo denies this -apkrig

In recent hours, the debate over the improved model of the Nintendo Switch hybrid console has flared up again. At a time when videos with the unpacking of the OLED model are coming from official places and the first review evaluates the benefits of this revision, Bloomberg is publishing an article with a relatively clear title. It states that at least 11 anonymously developed developers, including Zynga, have confirmed ownership of the enhanced 4K Switch devkit, developing console games based on Bloomberg’s information, which Nintendo said does not exist. However, the Japanese company reacted unexpectedly to the article and shortly after its publication denied all the allegations and confirmed that the only model in production is the OLED version mentioned in the introduction.

As mentioned above, Bloomberg refers to the allegations of employees of 11 gaming companies, who, however, acted anonymously. “According to employees who did not want to be appointed because they are not authorized to speak publicly about their projects, they are companies from all over the world – from large publishers to small studios,” Bloomberg said. The only company named is Zynga, which has not yet developed any title for Switch. However, this is to change after the February announcement of Star Wars: Hunters, on which the mobile giant collaborates with the NaturalMotion Games studio and which should arrive next to the mobile phones on a hybrid console from Nintendo. The fact is, however – and Bloomberg updated his article accordingly – that a company spokesman subsequently refuted ownership of the devkit. “Just to be clear, Zynga doesn’t have a 4K devkit from Nintendo,” Sarah Ross said, casting doubt on the credibility of the other sources quoted by Bloomberg.

As for Nintendo’s answer, it is not very common for companies to comment on such speculation, yet the Japanese publisher did so and made it clear to players and investors that this was false information. “The September 30 report falsely claims that Nintendo is supplying a 4K-enabled Switch game development tool,” said Nintendo, returning to July’s statements that no other new console model. It was an attempt to silence the growing speculation, whether on the basis of anonymous statements or information discovered through data mining and diverting attention towards the OLED model. However, Bloomberg does not want to be sold and states that the supposed Switch Pro was already planned for this year, but due to the lack of chips – in this case from Nvidia – further development and launch was postponed indefinitely.

“Nintendo may still choose not to release Switch 4K. Over the years, the Japanese company has quietly abandoned a number of products for strategic reasons or technical problems, ”recalls Bloomberg. It also explains that developers with a 4K devkit that can be much more than the eleven listed, is currently in considerable uncertainty, and Bloomberg does not expect the games already being developed for the improved Switch to see the light of day until the end of next year. But even that is not certain, and probably the speed with which manufacturers will cope with the lack of chips and will be able to adequately meet demand with the first wave of sales.
