The latest durable Samsung Galaxy Xcover Pro attracts in several ways. Probably the most interesting part is a user-replaceable battery with a capacity of 4050 mAh. There is also fast charging with a power of 15 W. The novelty is waterproof (IP68) and meets the military standard MIL-STD-810. You will also enjoy two programmable hardware buttons – one on the left side and the other on the top of the device.

Among durable smartphones, it is probably the most attractive device and practically the first with an almost frameless display. Trends are easily falling into the category of rugged smartphones. The front belongs to a 6.3-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20: 9. It will also react to wet fingers or even gloves.

The processor from Samsung’s workshop – Exynos 9611 – will take care of the performance. The operating memory is 4 GB, the storage offers a capacity of 64 GB. The thermal imager has been improved and is even more useful from now on. It is more sensitive to changes in temperature, which makes it a great helper in detecting various leaks of liquids or heat. Improvements have also been made to software that allows you to switch between thermal imager and normal image after a picture is taken. The thermal camera works at a distance of up to 20 meters from the subject.

At the thermal imager we find a 12 MP Sony sensor. This assists the thermal imager to obtain accurate data on surface temperatures. The thermal imager uses a FLIR sensor with MSX technology, which helps to overlay the classic image with surface temperature data.

We will find a quad-core processor with a clock speed of 1.5 GHz and 3 GB of RAM, which is not a disaster due to the price of the smartphone.

However, it freezes a small, 16 GB internal storage space. At the back we find two cameras with a resolution of 8 MP + 0.3 MP. The front “selfie” camera has a resolution of 5 MP. Other features of the smartphone are conveniences such as the possibility of unlocking with a face, a battery with a capacity of up to 4,400 mAh, NFC and, of course, increased resistance to falls, water and dust. The phone offers great value for money.

EVOLVEO StrongPhone G7

We move gradually to the second model in order. EVOLVEO StrongPhone G7 offers a 5.7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels. Performance will not disappoint again, as evidenced by the eight-core chipset with a clock speed of 2.0 GHz and 3 GB of RAM. 32 GB of space for user data will be enough for more, less demanding users.

There is a 13 MP camera on the back of the device. The front sensor has a resolution of 5 MP. EVOLVEO has also prepared modern features, such as a fingerprint scanner, USB-C and support for wireless charging. Finally, IP68 certification ensures increased resistance to water and dust. However, this piece attracts the most with its battery. It has an incredible 6,500 mAh and it is said that in moderate traffic, the mobile phone should stay charged for a respectable five days.

Doogee S68 PRO

Weed is a Chinese company whose cheaper smartphones will probably be familiar to some of you. Model Doogee S68 Pro is one of the more successful works of this manufacturer. It offers a 5.9-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels. Under the hood is a MediaTek Helio P70 processor, which has eight cores. The RAM will pleasantly surprise you with its capacity of 6 GB. The internal memory then prepares 128 GB of space for user data, unless of course we take into account the space reserved for the operating system.

At the back is a sensor with a fairly high, 21 MP resolution. The other two modules then have 8 MP. The front camera for occasional “selfies” or video calls has a 16 MP resolution. There is also NFC, a fingerprint scanner, water resistance and dust resistance according to IP68 certification and impact resistance. Finally, it is worth mentioning the support of fast, 24 W charging, 10 W wireless charging or 5 W reverse charging. 6,300 mAh battery guarantees proper endurance.

Blackview GBV9600 Pro

Front of the model Blackview GBV9600 Pro dominates the 6.21-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2248 x 1080 pixels. Inside the smartphone there is a processor with eight cores and a maximum clock speed of 2.1 GHz. 6 GB of RAM is used for seamless switching between individual applications. 128 GB of internal storage then awaits user data.

On the back we can notice a dual camera with a resolution of 16 MP + 8 MP. Finally, the icing on the cake are other pluses, such as NFC, increased resistance to water and dust, a fingerprint scanner or a 5,580 mAh battery, which by the way supports the fast charging standard. It is a well-equipped durable smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4s

Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4s is a model of a South Korean manufacturer of a range of rugged smartphones. This smartphone tries to attract attention with a removable battery, but its endurance is average. At the front is a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It will please with image sensors (the primary camera has 16 MP), performance and connectivity, which probably lacks nothing.

In terms of performance, there is an eight-core 1.6 GHz processor, 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory. A nostalgic look is at the hardware buttons below the 5-inch HD display. However, the biggest reason to buy will be a durable construction, whose IP68 certification guarantees increased resistance to water and dust. For its selling price, however, it is a bargain purchase for almost everyone. Too bad the smaller battery, which has 2,800 mAh.

CAT S61

The last, but also the most interesting piece of our list of durable smartphones is the old one CAT S61. Its biggest advantage is the integrated thermal camera, thanks to which the model is famous. CAT S61 has a smaller, 5.2-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The aspect ratio therefore remains less seen today 16: 9. The eight-core processor and 4 GB of RAM sound like a good combination, as evidenced by the internal storage space with a capacity of 64 GB.
If we do not count the rear thermal imager, there is also a primary, 16 MP sensor, while the camera on the front has a resolution of 8 MP. In addition to IP68 certification, the phone features a laser distance meter, air quality monitor or an integrated 4,500 mAh battery.
