The best apps for your iPhone and iPad (October 2021)
It was a long time ago, the last issue of this format was 5 months ago. The reason is relatively simple, meanwhile it is becoming increasingly difficult to find great apps that are also suitable for the general public. Nevertheless, we are making a fresh start today and are looking at interesting applications for your (new) iPhone or iPad. Finally, let’s take a look at Apple Arcade.

Bring: What do I have to buy?
Who does not know the situation? Sometimes you come home from shopping only to find that you’ve forgotten something. On the other hand, the partner should perhaps bring something with them, but cannot be reached at the moment. Bring wants to solve these problems.
The app is clearly structured, articles and quantities can be easily recorded and added. If your better half is shopping and you still want chips or gummy bears, you can send him or her a push message. The classic digital assistants (Alexa, Google, …) are also supported. This makes Bring the next generation shopping list.
The basic version of Bring is free, but includes advertising and product placements. If you don’t want that, you can take out a monthly subscription for 1.99 euros or an annual subscription for 13.99 euros.
Structured: Structured by the day
Anyone who manages their smartphone to manage reminders and calendar entries in particular needs two different apps in most cases or has to commit to a provider for both. It’s a shame if you can’t enjoy full freedom with an app. Structured thinks one step further here.
The app serves as a control center for your everyday life. In addition to appointments, reminders can also be managed, the agenda view gives a nice and clear overview of the current day. Anyone who values organization is well advised.
The basic version of Structured is free of charge. If you need more freedom in structuring your everyday life, we recommend the Pro version for just under 5 euros.
ℹ Version 2.0 was made available to us for our test. This will appear in the App Store shortly.
The amount of news that hits us every day is growing. It is therefore becoming more important that we focus on a few relevant sources and structure content at the same time. Feedbin makes all of this possible as an RSS reader.
The advantage of Feedbin is that there is no advertising within the app and feeds can even be read in full text. You can also subscribe to Twitter accounts, generate addresses for newsletters or export articles to other services (such as Instapaper). This is how Feedbin helps you to stay in control of all the information.
Feedbin is only available in a paid version, the annual subscription can be purchased for 60 euros the website acquire.
Goodreads: Read with friends and get recommendations
And then of course we have the increasing amount of literature, where it is becoming more and more difficult to find the absolute top books. Goodreads can help you here.
The app gives you recommendations based on your previous books and reviews that you have written. You can also network with friends and put their featured books on your reading list.
Goodreads is available free of charge in the App Store; use requires an account that you can set up via the app.
