The best alternative will soon come from Samsung itself
The Samsung Galaxy A52 is currently one of the most interesting and popular mid-range phones on the market. It is so popular that the smartphone is currently sold out almost everywhere. Samsung is probably working on an alternative that could really be tough.
Samsung Galaxy M52 5G could be a price-performance hit
The Galaxy M51 has already sold extremely well. It has now been announced that Samsung is planning a successor. The first details of the Samsung Galaxy M52 5G have been leaked that are very reminiscent of the Galaxy A52s 5G. In the Galaxy M52 5G, for example, the Snapdragon 778G processor are used, which should offer a significantly higher performance than its predecessor, but also the normal Galaxy A52 models (source: 91mobiles). The AMOLED display should have a diagonal of 6.7 inches and resolve with Full HD +. Whether it supports 90 or 120 Hz remains to be seen.
While the Galaxy M51 is still equipped with a 7,000 mAh battery, Samsung is “only” using 5,000 mAh for the successor. That is still a lot and more than with the Galaxy A52, but the new generation has lost the addition of the “battery monster”. Particularly with a 5G modem, a large battery would make sense. Without it, the Galaxy M52 5G will basically become a Galaxy A52s 5G clone – just without a USP.
The cameras should also take over the Galaxy M52 5G from the Samsung Galaxy A52. So there is a 64 MP main camera, the 12 MP super wide angle and two smaller sensors. A 32 MP camera is installed on the front. Allegedly Samsung does without the waterproof properties of the Galaxy A52, but could set the price lower. The Galaxy M51 cost 379 euros. That would be 50 euros less than Samsung is asking for the Galaxy A52 5G.

Samsung Galaxy M52 5G: Presentation could take place soon
Samsung unveiled the Galaxy M51 in early September 2020. The chances that that Galaxy M52 5G and an M32 5G will be presented in a few weeks, are so very large. The specifications that have already emerged sound tempting in any case. A real smartphone insider tip could be pending here if Samsung doesn’t mess with the price.
