The battery and storage expectations of the Galaxy S23
Are you a Samsung fan, or a proud Android owner? It’s time again for the launch of a new Samsung series. The latest Samsung model will be released in the coming month! You can read in this article what this new model entails in terms of specs and expectations!
Galaxy S23 expectations
The new year has arrived and so has the era for a new Samsung phone. The Galaxy series is expanding with a new Samsung Galaxy S23 series including Plus and Ultra model. Whether this series will do better than the previous series remains to be seen. There has been a lot of contradiction in rumors such as that since September 2022 it was thought that an Exynos processor would be implemented, but later in November it turned out that Samsung had chosen the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 after all. There is also a lot of clarity about the battery, storage, and working memory, and we are happy to tell you more about that in this article.
The battery life
To remain accessible and to function optimally in everyday and business life, the mobile phone has become indispensable. This makes the battery life very important when choosing a new device. Tweakers conducted research in March 2022 with battery tests in which Wi-Fi, 4G, and 5G Android smartphones scrolled across the web within local servers in a Chrome browser. This was done to be able to consistently find out how long the battery of these devices lasted when activities with equal energy demand were performed. It is striking that the S22 Plus with a smaller battery lasted less long than the S21 Plus, which was one of the best scoring devices in terms of battery life last year.
How the Samsung S23 will score will depend on the new battery specifications. For now it is known that these should be improved with a 3900 mAh capacity. This compared to that of its predecessor which has a 3700mAh battery. This is an increase of 200 mAh which is also the exact capacity increase between the S22 Plus and S23 Plus. For the S23 Ultra, the capacity is expected to be equivalent at 5000 mAh just like the S23 Ultra.

Storage and working memory
When your mobile phone gives a message during a photo session on vacation that unfortunately there is no more space available, it is one of the most unpleasant moments of frustration as a human being. Fortunately, the Samsung Galaxy S23 phones will have this problem less often. According to Ahmed Qwaider, this series will have a storage memory of at least 256 GB, which would make the 128 GB storage officially a thing of the past. The Ultra version has multiple choices of storage capacity between 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB. Working memory is also known. The standard and plus model expect to get 8 gigabytes of RAM, while the Ultra variant will even have 12 GB of RAM. These working memories are identical to those of the S22 series, but they are still great to work with.
All things considered, the Samsung Galaxy S23 will become a bit more impressive again. The battery is expected to last longer, the storage capacity has a new minimum of 256 GB, and the working memory remains the same. Whether these expectations are completely correct will be known at the launch.
