Updates for Samsung

New security updates are being rolled out to Samsung devices. Several readers, including Jan, Marco and Olaf, let us know that updates are ready for their devices. We list the details for you below.

It is striking that the Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) returns in the overview. Because it was previously stated that this device would only receive an update once a quarter, and last month the April patch was expanded. Now another update is ready. Users of the Samsung Galaxy A8 will see the May security update. The changelog also states that functionality for Google RCS has been added. This is Google’s own messaging service.

The same security update is ready for the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. If we look at the changelog of the update, the update only brings a new security patch. For the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20+, June security update will now be distributed in the Netherlands.
