The authors of Saints Row have released a new video -apkrig under the weight of criticism
Already in yesterday’s news summary, we touched at least briefly on the topic of adopting the newly announced Saints Row reboot. We will now return to this situation, because it continues to evolve in an interesting way. The presentation of the new work from the Volition studio did not arouse the enthusiasm that the authors hoped for. Diplomatically speaking. Many players, including rock fans, reject the new concept and do not like the stylization, characters or some planned changes. The head of the developers received considerable criticism, especially on social networks and in the comments below the announcement video.
Fans are also bothered by the way in which the authors reacted to the criticism, for example on Twitter.
The first trailer, of course, appeared in various places, but the main focus is on the official game channel and the PlayStation and Xbox channels. The ratio of inches up and down in total is to the detriment of the authors, although otherwise the video enjoys a lot of attention in terms of viewing. There is no point in quoting individual contributions, you can see the views of viewers yourself. The important thing is that the reboot is not only wasted by some casual observers, but also by rock fans, who turn away from Volition and say that the new Saints Row is not really Saints Row and they don’t like the way the heroes and the whole title are presented.
Developers first on this criticism reacted with the fact that they do not want to give up their vision. They understand that this is something new and that players are surprised by a reboot that is different. But fans are also bothered by the way in which the authors responded to criticism, for example on Twitter. There is nothing wrong with the team not wanting to change the game. Given that it is due out in February, this is quite understandable. Sure, the studio might suit the community, but that’s not always the case and Volition are just sure of the news.
We are not backing down on this game. We get it, it’s new and it’s a shock reaction to a reboot like no other. The gif was supposed to convey that.

Players often vent their disappointment quite indiscriminately or sharply, but it is risky to repay them with a similar coin. Maybe gifem Haters gonna hate nebo respond to compare it to Fortnite in that the writer does not know what Fortnite looks like. But I understand where this frustration comes from. However, starting a war with rock fans is not an ideal strategy to get them on their side at a reboot.
It seemed like this for some time between the authors and the fans, but then the studio took another step. Probably unplanned under the weight of criticism, the developers decided to release another video, which offers a much more in-depth look at the game, including the action itself. They didn’t just pull the seven-and-a-half-minute presentation out of their hats. This is the same video that we saw a few weeks ago as part of a demonstration for journalists.
I myself was surprised that this video was not originally published by the authors, and I wondered when he was probably saving it and why.
It thoroughly re-introduces the whole game, and even though I don’t think there’s anything in it that the fans don’t already know, I completely understand why the authors made this decision. This is a much closer look at the game, thanks to which you can get a much better idea. After all, I was surprised that this video was not originally published by the authors, and I wondered when he was probably saving it and why.
Even though the new video didn’t make a hole in the world, and even here the ratio of likes to dis likes the studio – 10,000 bucks down and over 9,000 inches up – at least it’s no longer such a gap as the first CGI trailer. On the official Saints Row channel, 26,000 people gave a thumbs-down, while only 17,000 people went up.
If there is a lesson to be learned, it is above all that developers should not rely only on CGI trailers and always accompany them with something directly from the game. So when CGI trailers still have to be done, which is almost not necessary due to the quality of in-game graphics. The announcement of Saints Row was not a bolt from the blue. In addition to various indications from recent days, the publisher has openly talked for a long time about the fact that they are making Volition a new game from this series. But it may have been a mistake not to give the fans what they want for years waiting for the next game. On the other hand, if the team did not experiment, it could again face criticism that the brand is stagnating and all parts are on one hill.
I am all the more curious how the whole dispute will turn out in the end. Whether the authors believe in the law and the game will eventually soften the community and convince them of its qualities, or it is the first sign that the developers have gone in the wrong direction.
