The best iPhone apps from last week

Apple’s App Store works overtime every week. New apps, updates for existing applications and games are constantly appearing. You probably won’t notice this, because most of the programs are not worth downloading. iPhoned therefore separates the wheat from the chaff every Sunday. These are the best iOS apps, updates and games from the past week.

1. Vidate

Have you not been able to find love through Tinder, Bumble or Happn? The already overcrowded dating app landscape has a new player in the form of Vidate since last week. However, this app does it slightly differently. Vidate is all about dating via video calling.

You cannot therefore provide your profile with text and videos. Instead, you introduce yourself in a movie. Vidate tries to create an image of users that is as real as possible: post-processing is not possible. You can then ‘like’ other users and if they also give you a heart, you can make video calls with each other.

2. Coachy

The gyms will probably remain closed for a while. So you have to come up with creative ways to get your daily dose of exercise. Coachy may be for you. This app is packed with exercises that you can perform without materials.

Coachy prepares a new training schedule for you every day. The app takes your fitness, goals and stamina into account. Do you have some weights at home? Then the app also takes this into account. Coachy is free to try for seven days, but after that you have to draw your wallet.

It’s a bit old-fashioned, but a lot of people swear by RSS feeds. This way you can keep track of new articles from multiple websites in one app. The new app An Otter RSS Reader is, as you might expect from its name, a program to keep track of RSS feeds.

The app is therefore anything but innovative, but very pleasant to use. An Otter RSS Reader synchronizes between your iPhone, iPad and Mac, has a minimalistic design so that the focus is on the content and you can organize the feeds completely according to your own wishes. For example, you can create multiple folders based on subject.

4. Mazecraft

Are you familiar with Mazecraft? This game, which aims to get your friends lost in a homemade maze, got a massive update last week. Among other things, the image quality has been polished and you have more options for personalizing your maze.

So Mazecraft is all about letting your friends get lost. You do this by making your maze as confused as possible and filling it with all kinds of attributes, such as trees. Then you can challenge others to crack your riddle. Of course you can also walk through others’ mazes.
