That sucks. The Meta logo looks suspiciously like another symbol
The logo of Meta (FaceBook) is very similar to another symbol that many people use as a tattoo.
This week it was time. Facebook has a new name. Well, not the platform but the umbrella company. The company’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg has been talking about the metaverse for months. It is not surprising that the name is an abbreviation of this: Meta. All fine, but when we look at the new logo we notice something.
Presumably a lot of money has been spent on coming up with the name, designing the logo and the general ‘rebranding’. However, the logo looks suspiciously like the infinity symbol. And let that be a popular symbol, to put on your body in the form of a tattoo. The question then is, of course, what do people think of Meta choosing such a logo? Because, you will soon be walking around with a tattoo of the American company.

On a tour on Twitter you can find many reactions from people who have such a tattoo. Almost all of them have a personal story about why they have the infinity symbol as a tattoo. Some examples:
Cecilia, who used to work at a busy PR firm, is another interesting example. She got her tattoo done during a trip to Central America after suffering a burnout in her late twenties, the infinity symbol was supposed to represent ‘eternal freedom’.
Steven who works as a developer got it as a sign of his commitment to change his life.
We can only conclude that the logo of Meta resembles it. But the people who have such a tattoo are not interested (yet).
