Thanks to Airbnb, you can stay in Barbie’s dream house

To coincide with the release of the Barbie film, fans can rent the Barbie Malibu Dreamhouse for one night for two on July 21st or 22nd. Host is Ken – and he’s probably paying for the fun, they say Airbnb Announcement.

Host Ken is renting the Malibu Dreamhouse on July 21st and 22nd for the release of the Barbie movie. Two people can rent the house for one night. Host Ken is in the charity pants—renters stay free of charge, plus they get some “kendom” to take home in the form of a surfboard and yellow and pink Impala skates. There is also a concierge who gives tours and prepares meals.

There is no raffle to get hold of the Dreamhouse for one night – the guests are responsible for their own arrival and departure. The booking of the Airbnb is from July 17th at 10 a.m. Pacific Time – in Germany on July 17th at 7 p.m.

Airbnb is making a one-time donation to Save the Children to coincide with the July 21 release of the film and “to honor the empowerment movement for young girls.”

The Malibu Dreamhouse has a bright pink facade and a large outdoor area with infinity pool, dance floor, first floor slide, outdoor kitchen with grill and outdoor fitness area.

In the pictures of the Airbnb listing you can see the classic Barbie outfit: pink, plastic and toy-like. According to the entry, however, there is neither a kitchen nor a washing machine, no basic equipment and no heating. You also look in vain for a TV or a hair dryer. The kitchen could be explained by the fact that the food is provided by the concierge.

Ken’s remodeling of the Barbie Malibu Dreamhouse is mostly recognizable by the cowboy hats, life-size plastic horse, Ken logo near the grill, and the “Dude Rock” vinyl record.
