Tesla will accept Dogecoin, cryptocurrency soars
After accepting bitcoin, Tesla will offer payment with the Dogecoin cryptocurrency. But this will not concern the purchase of cars unlike bitcoin. It will be a question here of obtaining goods from the automobile manufacturer.

It was Elon Musk, the boss of Tesla, who announced the support of Dogecoin through a tweet. “Tesla is going to make certain goods purchasable with Doge and we will see how it goes”, he said in his message.

The price of Dogecoin has climbed up to 40% from its level 24 hours ago. It traded at 22 cents on Tuesday, down from 16 cents the day before, before dropping back down to around 19 cents at the time of this article’s publication.
Dogecoin has been one of the most volatile cryptocurrencies. It was launched in 2013 as a joke and is based on the Shiba Inu meme. Cryptocurrency had jumped over 15,500% in 2021 to its peak in May and is still up over 3,000% for the year.
Elon Musk is a cryptocurrency commentator on social media. His tweets have frequently caused prices to move up and down. He has generally been a supporter of Dogecoin, but criticized bitcoin for its high power consumption.
