Tesla killer is about to start in Germany
There are some car manufacturers who are preparing to outstrip electric pioneer Tesla. In addition to VW or Lucid, Chinese manufacturers in particular are at the forefront. A hot candidate is expected to start with its electric cars in Germany in 2022. BYD even has a decisive advantage over Tesla.
Still in 2022: E-cars from China want to stir up the German market
The Chinese manufacturer BYD no longer only says something to stockbrokers. The company is involved in all sorts of areas, for example it is one of the world leaders in battery production for smartphones and the like. Recently, BYD has primarily attracted attention with electric cars. They are considered tough competition for market leader Tesla. The start in Germany is scheduled for 2022.
To be more precise, Sweden and Germany should be the starting point for expansion in Europe. While sales in Sweden are handled directly by the Hedin Mobililty Group as a sales partner, the e-cars from BYD – Build Your Dreams – offered in Germany via selected top dealers will, said Hedin in a statement.
Accordingly, Sweden should start with a first exclusive BYD store from October. In Germany, sales should start at the same time. Stupid only for enthusiastic e-car fans that you keep more details behind the mountain. For example unclear which model or models BYD will send to Europe first.
The first deliveries should take place in the fourth quarter of 2022. BYD is thus setting a real brand. If this goal can be met, the full environmental bonus for particularly fast customers would still be possible. This also depends on the purchase prices, which BYD has not yet revealed.

Probably the most awaited model Seal, a direct competitor for Tesla’s Model 3, convinces Chinese customers on the one hand with the lower price than the American e-car. The brands from China are also considered serious competition by Tesla boss Elon Musk, especially BYD. Their sales figures already beat those of Tesla in an international comparison, the strong home market makes it possible.
So German customers can look forward to the coming weeks and months. In addition to BYD, Nio has announced the start in Germany for 2022. E-cars of both brands would be a chance to secure the environmental bonus before the reduction.
