Tesla is tearing down its own rewards program

Tesla will no longer be handing out presents, because they will largely stop the rewards program they have had for years.

How do you motivate others to take the same product you use? With a rewards program of course. Your acquaintance, boyfriend or girlfriend and you will receive a reward if you manage to ‘sell’ the product or service to him or her. Tesla has also had its own rewards program for years. The American brand has now stopped doing so.

Whether it was the company’s cars or solar energy. They were part of Referral awards. As of September 18, this program has largely been discontinued. It is only active in the case of the Solar Roof. The reward within this program is that you get up to $500 or a free Powerwall.

It was a nice program for Tesla drivers to recommend the cars to others. For example in exchange for free charging at a Supercharger. But in the end this costs the American company money. And to cut costs, these types of programs are often the first to fail.

It is unknown whether Tesla’s rewards program will return in a different form at a later date. In any case, it doesn’t seem like it. (via Electric)
