Telekom is cleaning up its tariff system and saying goodbye to the “MagentaEINS Unlimited Advantage”. Customers have been informed of the change by email. There should be no change in price for fixed-line and mobile customers, as Telekom calculates.

Telekom abolishes “MagentaEINS Unlimited Advantage”.

Anyone who has booked MagentaEINS and at the same time opted for Deutsche Telekom’s landline and mobile phone service should check their inbox. The one only introduced in May 2021 “MagentaEINS Unlimited Advantage” will be discontinued from November 1, 2022 without replacement (Source: Caschy’s blog). However, the MagentaEINS offer itself remains in place.

According to Telekom, customers will benefit after the loss of service no financial disadvantage, because the monthly price of the MagentaEINS tariff will be reduced from EUR 80 to EUR 50.05. There is also the MagentaEINS benefit (not “Unlimited benefit”) with a discount of 5 euros per month. In principle, nothing changes in terms of costs.

Also previously resulted from the special combination a discounted monthly price of 45.05 euros. Due to the new MagentaEINS advantage, it remains at 45.05 euros. It remains unclear why Telekom decided to take this step at all. In the company’s customer forum, there are already increasing numbers of voices that would have liked clearer communication.

Telekom: Changes to Magenta TV

In addition to the discontinuation of the “MagentaEINS Unlimited benefit”, there is also a change for Magenta TV. Here the group says goodbye Media receivers 401 and 200. Both models are no longer offered as new. The Magenta TV box will also no longer be available from September 30th. Existing customers can continue to use their receivers for the time being. It is not certain how long this will continue to be the case.
