On Wednesday, March 8, Tamara comes home in the evening after a long day. When she sits quietly on the couch, she feels a twinge coming up in her lower left abdomen. The sting disappears, comes back a little later and gets more and more intense. At that moment Tamara knew: this is not good, I am having contractions. Tamara is currently 24 weeks and 5 days pregnant.

On the way to the hospital, her water breaks: “Don’t kill another child, please,” she tells the midwife. Once arrived at the hospital, Tamara experiences everything in a daze. “I enter a room, with a large team of specialists who silently watch me being wheeled in.
