Take-Two is planning 62 games by March 2024 and is responding to FIFA 2K -apkrig
We have already touched on Take-Two Interactive’s financial results today through several other reports. However, we are far from exhausting the interesting things from the portfolio of this giant. We will at least briefly summarize the other most important ones in this summary article.
Almost 6,000 people already work for Take-Two
We learned, for example, that the company has 62 games in development, which should be released by March 2024. Of these, 23 are to be among the so-called major titles, 6 are independent and will be released under the Private Division label, and we have 20 mobile games, 4 ” mid core ”games and 9 sequels. A clear table directly from the publisher summarizes exactly what the individual categories mean and what titles it potentially represents.
At the same time, it is clear that, in fact, Take-Two’s plans are even broader and go further. In reality, even more games can be developed. On the other hand, of course, the planned ones may not be able to come out in the given term. Take-Two also has more and more employees. Almost 6,000 people already work for him and his company.
The financial results also show that GTA V has already surpassed 155 million copies sold and Red Dead Redemption 2 is attacking the target of 40 million. In total, the GTA series sold 355 million copies. No wonder Rockstar is committed to continuing to support Grand Theft Auto Online, especially when it enters a new generation of consoles. The entire Red Dead brand has almost 62 million copies sold. But not a word came up about GTA VI or the remaster of older parts of Red Dead.
Borderlands 3 again won the title for the fastest-selling game from the 2K Games division. He currently has almost 14 million copies sold to his account. The whole series then over 72 million copies. Borderlands 2 is again the best-selling game from 2K ever with more than 25 million copies. In this context, it should be noted that 2K are part of Take-Two, but separate from Rockstar Games, which operate as a separate entity.
FIFA 2K? Now we are happy with the football manager Top Eleven, says Strauss Zelnick.
But football also came to the fore. Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick was asked if 2K Sports might be interested in a license to play football under the FIFA brand, which is likely to be available to other entities as well, according to indications from EA and direct statements from the International Federation of Football Associations. Coincidentally, Take-Two was bought this year by the authors of the football manager Top Eleven from the Nordeus studio. According to him, Zelnicka is pleased, because they were not active in this sport before and it is a big step for them. But otherwise he reacted evasively and obviously didn’t want to say more. At this time.
However, it is not at all impossible that 2K Sports at least think about it when this opportunity arose. EA and 2K have already struggled, or in the past struggled with basketball, golf, American football or hockey. And it would be really interesting if another big player threw himself into digital football, even if he was inexperienced in this discipline.
