Take the time to go through this FSK18 horror series

Nothing planned for the weekend yet? Great, because then you should take the time to put through a very special horror series on Netflix – it is much better than you might expect.

Fear Street If I had overlooked it completely, the horror three-part series would not have been recommended to me by friends: In three almost two-hour films, the series shows the cruel fate of the residents of Shadyside, who are apparently haunted by an ancient curse. The slasher films are just as brutal as they are entertaining and fascinating – especially because they keep surprising and disregard typical clichés. In addition, there is an almost perfect selection of music, surprisingly good actors and Gore, who suddenly and brutally reminds you why Fear Street is not suitable for viewers under 18 years of age.

The trailer gives you a good taste of the trilogy:

Perfect balance between blood and entertainment

Horror in itself is a difficult genre, as the many bad horror films prove. For this reason, good horror is mostly slow and atmospheric; and only rarely does a film really make it Horror, blood and entertainment under one roof to get. So it’s nice that a few good examples pop up every now and then – and the Fear Street trilogy is without question one of them.

This is what it’s about: In the three parts you accompany a group of young adults as they try to escape the curse of Shadyside: Again and again people run amok in the city and kill many others; but can it all be coincidence? The story of Shadyside takes its course, with each film going back further into the past and revealing more about the curse. Despite the length of the films, none of them ever get boring, which is partly due to the fantastic quality of the series. Take a look and see for yourself!

Here we go: Stream Fear Street Part 1: 1994 on Netflix now.

The Fear Street trilogy is based on the eponymous Books by RL Stine and was released on Netflix in July 2021. So if you haven’t had the time or leisure to take a look – why not this weekend? Horror fans should definitely not miss this slasher trilogy.
