SwiftKey lets anyone copy and paste text between Android and Windows

SwiftKey has released a new update for the Android app. The application now makes it possible for anyone to copy and paste text between an Android and Windows device.

SwiftKey: Copy and Paste

Microsoft has owned the keyboard app SwiftKey for several years now. The application has now been provided with a handy functionality by the company. The latest version, now available for download from the Google Play Store, allows you to share your Android device’s clipboard with the one on your Windows laptop or computer. A while ago, this functionality was already slowly being tested among beta users. Now it is ready for the general public.

To use the clipboard sync, you need to manually enable this feature on both Windows and Android. Your device must be running on Windows 10 or Windows 11. In Windows you can go to Settings > System > Clipboard. In the SwiftKey settings, you can activate the ‘Sync clipboard history’ setting to use the functionality. After enabling this, you can copy text to and from your computer. Handy, for example, when you receive an SMS code on your smartphone; You can then paste it directly onto your Windows computer. Incidentally, this only works if you are logged in to SwiftKey with your Microsoft account.
