Xiaomi has been working hard lately to update his models, not forgetting the older ones. Xiaomi Mi 9 is the flagship of 2019 and according to the GSMAren portal, it now receives the latest Android 11 together with the MIUI 12.5 superstructure.
And it’s a really big update that’s up to 2.4 GB. So if you plan to update, make sure you have a large enough data package, or use a Wi-Fi connection to download it. This is an update of models that are intended for the European market.
The device should notify you automatically when it is available. If this does not happen, you can search for it manually in the settings. Remember to charge your smartphone sufficiently before installing it.
The new superstructure should improve the battery life of your Xiaomi Mi 9 and, of course, brings a lot of (not only design) innovations. There is also a new security patch, specifically from June 2021.
The competition is also updating
The most active with updates is Samsung. The Galaxy S8 model was recently updated, even after official support ended. OnePlus has updated the Nord N10 5G to the new Android 11, which is also its last major update. Recently, the owners of the Redmi 9 smartphone, which received an update on Android 11, were also pleased.
Prices for data in Slovakia are among the highest in the EU
