The build Surge of Light for the monk has been the strongest playstyle in Diablo 3 for several seasons. Nothing has changed in season 27. For this, however, the build requires particularly high-level equipment.

The Surge of Light build is not set-based like most other builds. Instead, you rely on the Legendary Gem Legacy of Dreams. This increases all your stats as long as you have no set bonuses activated. This bonus even doubles for ancient items.
