Create Shortcut in Snapchat: Fast and Easy
When you regularly send Snaps (a video or photo) to different friends in Snapchat, you actually have to create a shortcut. You can then select the entire group at once to send the Snap.
This also makes it easier to keep up your Snapchat streak, because you can no longer accidentally forget one of your friends. You can read how to create a shortcut in Snapchat on your iPhone in the step-by-step plan below.
How to create a shortcut in Snapchat:
- Create a Snap and tap Send to in the bottom right;
- Tap in the text box on ‘Send to…’ and below that on ‘Create shortcut’;
- Select the people you want to add to the shortcut;
- Tap on “Choose Emoji” at the top and select an emoji to use for the shortcut;
- At the bottom, tap ‘Create shortcut’.
How to use the shortcut
If you want to create a Snap to send to your friends in the shortcut, do the following.
- Create a Snap and tap Send to in the bottom right;
- Tap the emoji of the shortcut you just created and tap “Select” to check everyone in the group;
- Then tap the arrow at the bottom to send the Snap.
Remove or Customize Shortcut in Snapchat
Created a shortcut that you no longer need? Then the group is also easy to remove (or adjust). You do this in the following way.
- Create a Snap and tap Send to;
- Tap the ‘Shortcuts’ button and choose the shortcut you want to remove;
- Here you add or remove friends by adjusting the check mark. To discard a shortcut, tap the trash can icon in the top right;
- Choose ‘Save’ if you have modified the shortcut or ‘Yes, delete this shortcut’ if you want to throw it away.
