Starting today, Lidl is selling a unique smartphone accessory that has more to offer than you think

This year many of you are going on holiday again after two or more years. There are some things that you should definitely not forget. This includes a smartphone accessory that Lidl is selling from today. At first glance, it looks like an ordinary travel charger, but it has a lot more to offer.

Lidl sells travel chargers with an integrated power bank

When you travel, some things always belong in your suitcase. This includes, for example, a travel charger that you can use to charge your devices if other sockets are available locally. A power bank and a charger for smartphones, smartwatches, tablets and so on must of course also be included. What if you only needed one device for that? That’s exactly what sells Lidl on June 30th in the branches for 9.99 euros (look at Lidl).

At first glance, the USB travel charger from Silvercrest looks like a perfectly normal travel charger where you can change the attachments. In fact, a power bank is integrated there.

That solves three problems at once:

  • You can charge the power bank directly at the socket without any cable clutter,
  • connect and charge your USB devices at the same time and
  • does not require an additional adapter for sockets abroad.

Of course, the travel charger is still a power bank, with a 5,200 mAh battery that also provides energy on the go. So even if you don’t travel and use it normally as a power bank, direct charging is a huge advantage.

What you should know about Lidl:

Alternatives to Lidl’s USB travel charger

In fact, there is no alternative to Lidl’s USB travel charger – at least not in the way the discounter offers it. I’ve been looking for a product like this and haven’t found anything. Even finding a power bank with a Schuko plug, where you can then just plug in a travel adapter, proves to be very difficult. There is, for example, a solution from reVolt for around 20 euros (see Amazon). But you still need the power adapter for other countries (check it out at Amazon).

The power bank alone with a direct power plug would be awesome at a price of 10 euros. The fact that you can then change the different adapters for sockets is a small sensation. Anyone who likes to travel a lot should not miss out on this inconspicuous accessory.
