Starfield won’t really arrive on PlayStation, says Microsoft -apkrig

By the time Microsoft announced that it was becoming the owner of ZeniMax, and thus of Bethesda, their studios and the entire portfolio, players were essentially interested in nothing more than the future availability of popular titles on platforms other than Windows and Xbox. . Even after a series of statements from representatives of Bethesda and Microsoft, however, there is considerable uncertainty and the safest thing to say at the expense of this situation is the individual assessment on a case-by-case basis, or rather – game by game. However, even when new titles are introduced, we do not get a completely precise definition of what it will be like with possible exclusivity for Microsoft platforms, which unfortunately also applied to Starfield.

When the game was fully introduced in June this year, the trailer left no doubt. The game is aimed at PC and Xbox, there was no mention of time exclusivity anywhere, and Pete Hines apologized to PlayStation players in subsequent interviews that they would not get to the game. But then the events surrounding Starfield stopped for a few months, and in the resulting vacuum, players began to speculate that even a relatively resolute rejection of any other platforms could only mean time exclusivity. After all, Microsoft would not voluntarily deprive itself of sales on the PlayStation, it was said in the comments, but they forgot about Hinese’s belief that thanks to the Game Pass, the game could eventually reach even more people and in the long run it could be more beneficial for Microsoft. Even then, however, no one else reacted to the speculation, until today, when other vague statements of responsible people came to the fore.

The already mentioned Pete Hines reopened the issue of exclusivity in a new interview for Gamespot, and his statement was far from a clear position. Starfield has been announced as an exclusive game for the Xbox. But I don’t know if I would go so far as to say that you won’t play anything on the PlayStation anymore, “said Hines, repeating that he has no specific answer at the moment. Slightly confused, but in the eyes of eager players a promising statement, the players on social networks immediately commented and one of them – youtuber nicknamed The Red Dragon, received a comment from the general manager of the Xbox marketing department Aaron Greenberg. He tried to remind himself of the platforms on which the game was announced, but to his misfortune – or quite deliberately – he again used only misleading words, which provoked further discussion. Greenberg said that Starfield will be listed exclusively on the Xbox and PC, which is the way to talk about time exclusivity, and we’re reluctant to believe that Greenberg wasn’t aware of it.

It didn’t take long for the other players to arrive, pointing out that now what was being said about Hines’ conversation would be re-analyzed, so Greenberg finally rocked for the final. “We tried to be as unambiguous as possible. It’s not about time exclusivity, these are simply the platforms for which it is [Starfield] developed, “said Greenberg, and perhaps we can finally close the unnecessary situation. At least until The Elder Scrolls VI starts discussing…
