South Park: The Streaming Wars Part 2 is out on Paramount+ and is basically one long crypto roast.
Paramount+ has signed a deal with the creators of South Park for 14 South Park Film Specials and South Park: The Streaming Wars Part 2 is the latest in that series. It is the closing film in The Streaming Wars series.
The story is as follows. There’s a massive drought in South Park and it’s driving everyone crazy. But then an unlikely lifesaver appears who owns the water park. What if we replaced water with… urine?
Fortune Favors the Brave
That is the starting point of one big crypto metaphor. To fully follow that, you should actually check out the Matt Damon “Fortune Favors the Brave” commercial he made for Crypto.com below. He was already ridiculed in the series, but in this film, the crypto roast takes it to a whole new level. Just look at them one after the other.
Fun fact: if you had put 1000 euros in Bitcoin at the time of the above advertisement, there would still be 325 euros left. Reason enough for South Park to piss off a lot of celebrities who have promoted crypto. Literal.
South Park: The Streaming Wars Part 2 is exclusive to Paramount+, we don’t have that here in the Netherlands. In August, SkyShowtime will come to our country, where a lot of content from Paramount+ will be shown. The South Park specials are also expected.
