Sony has designed a new speaker. But the device is not designed as we think it is.
The company often puts products on the market that make people wonder if it can be a success. Often it is, but sometimes it isn’t. Now Sony has announced the SRS-NS7. Not really a catchy name, but okay. It looks like a neckband, but it’s speaker. cool!

We can enjoy watching TV. Whether it’s a series or a movie, the sound enhances the experience. If you want better sound, but don’t want to fill your whole house with speakers, then this new speaker might be something for you.
Yes, what is it? A kind of neck band, a scarf or a massage cushion… Everything is possible. But if we look at the device, it seems that it should (also) be comfortable. The speaker is wireless, so you can move with it. There is a chance that he will fall, but it is safer to stay in one place.
Cinema experience
You are supposed to create a small cinema experience in your own home. Put it on your neck and turn on the movie. The device is of course compatible with Sony Bravia TVs. What’s even more innovative is that it’s possible to take pictures of your earcups via an app. This allows Sony to direct the sound exactly there, for an optimal experience.
Don’t worry, if you don’t have a Sony TV, you can still use the speaker. You can connect it to smartphones and laptops. The battery lasts for a good 12 hours, so you can watch at least 5 movies before it needs to be recharged. The SRS-NS7 will cost you 300 euros and will be on sale from November.
