Sony will announce new Xperia smartphones on May 11

Sony makes an appointment on May 11 for the presentation of new Xperia smartphones. There have already been some rumors, which helps to know what the Japanese company should announce in 10 days.

A video has been published by Sony this week to announce its May 11 presentation. The video evokes the Xperia 1 of 2019, the Xperia 1 II of 2020 and the Xperia 1 III of 2021. “Are you ready for the next ONE? », asks the manufacturer. We can therefore obviously suspect that there will be the presentation of the Xperia 1 IV. He shouldn’t be alone since the leaks also reported the Xperia 10 IV.

Since the previous generation offered high-end specs for a 2021 smartphone, the 2022 Xperia 1 IV is expected to come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, Qualcomm’s latest high-end chip. Previously leaked renders suggest very little will change design-wise, with the 21:9 aspect ratio expected to be retained alongside a 3.5mm headphone jack and front-panel speakers.
