According to new reports, Sonos, known for the speakers, is working on its own assistant. It is a voice assistant that can be used for commands. The new feature should be rolled out via an update.

Sonos is developing its own voice assistant, which should be made available to users. Sources report to The Verge that the release is planned for June 1. The new voice assistant from Sonos has to compete with competitors such as Apple Siri, Google Assistant, Alexa and Echo. The plan is that the assistant will first be released in the United States, after which it should appear internationally.

Sonos’ new voice assistant would work with various services such as Apple Music, Pandora, Amazon Music and Deezer. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear to work with Spotify and YouTube Music as well. In any case, it should be possible to control the playback of the music. It is unclear what other options will be offered.
