Sombra and Bastion will undergo changes in Overwatch 2 -apkrig

The Blizzard developers used yesterday’s Overwatch League final to reveal more details about the upcoming second installment. In recent months, we’ve learned that the number of players will be reduced – the current six-member teams will have to do without a single hero – and we’ve heard more news about the reworked duel or story. Now the authors of the game pay attention to specific information about individual heroes and present reworked versions of Sombra and the popular Bastion. However, it’s not just a new look, as you might expect, but also a modification of basic features, including ultimatum. For example, Sombra will not lose its stealth when hacking, and Bastion will be able to move even after switching to firing range mode.

The announcement and explanation of the changes are accompanied by short videos, all of which are relatively clear. Of course, if you spent your free time with the first part, it will be easier for you to understand the differences, but in general it can be said that Blizzard is definitely not afraid of experiments. Of course, the question remains as to how Overwatch 2 will balance, and it is likely that patches will come into play shortly before and shortly after the release, which may return some of the newly announced new features to their original state. But in general terms, let’s go to Bastion, which was available to players from the first day of the first Overwatch. It is a robot that can change into a stationary firing tower in a few seconds and also repair itself after interventions from enemies. In the case of the second part, however, he will lose the possibility of his own repair, even if he will be allowed to move in the described mode of the firing tower from the other side. But the favorite hero must pay for it by reducing the amount of damage done by his machine gun – albeit still with an unlimited amount of ammunition – by 40 percent.

In addition, each transformation will take longer and is also subject to a 10-second cooldown to avoid rapidly changing positions and increasing the advantage for players who take on Bastion. Its ultimate ability will also change, so you will no longer be able to turn a sensitive robot into a small dance. In the second part of the game Overwatch, Bastion has an artillery salvo at his disposal, which he can send to any place on the map. The latest innovation is a tactical grenade, which will serve as a supportive offensive weapon – the grenade bounces off the walls, can stick to the enemy and is able to knock to the ground all those who do not escape the surface effect of its explosion.

As for Sombra, the developers into hers functioning they have reached even more significantly and it will be extremely interesting to watch it in the hands of experienced players. At first glance, it seems that Sombra has only received improvements, so we are looking forward to the first games, which may reveal problems with balancing. First of all, the cooldown for its basic function – Hacking enemy abilities – has been reduced. It is reduced to just three seconds and its effect is set to eight seconds, which means that an experienced player can hack two, maybe three targets at once. The problem is that a targeted enemy must not use an owl’s ability for a second, not five, as was the case in the original game, but even that can be enough to disrupt the planned tactics and the course of the fight. It is also important that Sombra remains invisible during the hacking and receives an offensive 50 percent bonus in dealing damage to anyone who has been hacked at the time. In combination with the work of other members of the team, this can be a relatively strong effect, but we must not forget to reduce the effectiveness of Sombra’s submachine gun. The behavior of the ultimate ability – EMP – is also changing, which will not disrupt the shields, probably because in the sequel to Overwatch there will be one tank less, but will take 40 percent of the remaining life within reach of all enemies within range.

Overwatch 2 does not have a release date yet, but the game should arrive next year.
