Resident Evil 4 Remake

Solve snakehead puzzles in the dining room

Northeast of the great hall you get to the dining room and have to get the snake head out of the cage somehow. In the dining room there are two large tables with many place settings, each slightly different from the other.

You can instruct Ashley to sit anywhere. You can then choose a seat yourself and then press the bell next to the place setting, whereupon Ashley will do the same for you. The puzzle is to find out which two places are the right ones.

The two paintings on the north wall of the dining room give you the decisive clue. It depicts the king and queen seated in front of their individual place setting.

Take a good look at the place settings in the paintings and match them with the place settings on the dining tables around the room to find the right ones. First, instruct Ashley to sit at the northeast corner of the first table in the room.

You sit down with Leon at the north-west corner of the second table near the paintings. Then press the bell next to the place setting. Ashley then automatically does the same.

If you did everything correctly, the cage around the snake head will then drop and you can take it. You need it next to the lion head and the goat head to complete the statue in the great hall.
