Solve Professor Sharp’s tasks 1 & 2

In Hogwarts Legacy, Professor Sharp gives you two tricky tasks that require you to create all five basic potions in the game. You need a lot of resources for this, but you will be rewarded with two new spells in the end. At this point we will guide you through all the steps of his quests.

Solve Professor Sharp’s problem 1

For Professor Sharp’s Task 1, you must have a focus potion, Maxima Potion and one Edurus Potion produce. In our guide with all ingredient locations in Hogwarts Legacy you already get an overview of where you can get all the materials. For the potions you need the following:

• focus potion
  • Lacewings: You can buy 5 for 100 gold each from J. Pippin’s Potions shop in west Hogsmeade.
  • Rivergrass stem: You can buy 2 pieces for 150 gold each from the shop “The Magic Turnip” in western Hogsmeade. Alternatively, you can buy the Riverweed seed for 350 gold from The Magic Turnip and plant it on a large pot planting table. The cultivation time is 15 minutes. You can buy a planting table with a large pot for 1,000 gold from Tomes and Scrolls in south Hogsmeade.
  • Swamp Crawler’s Tongue: You can buy 5 for 100 gold each from J. Pippin’s Potions Shop in western Hogsmeade.
• Maxima Potion
  • Leech Juice: You can buy 5 for 150 gold each from J. Pippin’s Potions shop in west Hogsmeade.
  • Spider Fang: 5 can be purchased for 50 gold each from J. Pippin’s Potions Shop in western Hogsmeade.
• Edurus Potion
  • Eggs of an Awinder: 5 can be purchased for 150 gold each from J. Pippin’s Potions Shop in western Hogsmeade.
  • Stray Dog Fur: You can buy 5 for 50 gold each from J. Pippin’s Potions shop in western Hogsmeade.

If you have all the ingredients together, you only need one more drinking stationto mix the potions. If you haven’t already unlocked the Room of Requirement, you can also go to Sharp’s classroom at Hogwarts and use the potion station there to brew.

To complete the task, use all the potions and most importantly, make sure to use the Maxima potion and the Edurus potion at the same time. You can select the potions one by one via the tool wheel (hold L1/LB button + analog stick) and then use them by pressing the L1/LB button.

Return to Professor Sharp’s class and speak with him to complete the first quest.

Solve Professor Sharp’s problem 2

For Professor Sharp’s task 2 you have to thunder brew and invisibility potion produce.

• thunder brew
  • Leech Juice: You can buy 5 for 150 gold each from J. Pippin’s Potions shop in west Hogsmeade.
  • Fruit of the shriveled fig: You can buy 2 pieces for 150 gold each from the shop “The Magic Turnip” in western Hogsmeade. You can buy the shriveled fig seed from The Magic Turnip for 450 gold and plant it on a medium pot planting table. The cultivation time is 12 minutes. You can purchase a medium pot planting table for 750 gold from Tomes and Scrolls in south Hogsmeade.
  • Breath of the Dead: You can buy 5 for 100 gold each from J. Pippin’s Potions shop in western Hogsmeade.
• invisibility potion
  • Bonnets of Bouncing Toadstools: 5 can be purchased for 150 gold each from J. Pippin’s Potions shop in western Hogsmeade.
  • knotweed branch: You can buy 2 pieces for 150 gold each from the shop “The Magic Turnip” in western Hogsmeade. You can buy the Knotweed Sprig seed for 350 gold from The Magic Turnip and plant it on a small pot planting table. The cultivation time is 10 minutes. If you don’t already have your own planting table in the Room of Requirement, you can find one in the greenhouse south-east of Hogwarts.
  • Troll Boogers: You can buy 5 for 100 gold each from J. Pippin’s Potions Shop in western Hogsmeade.

Brew and use the potions as in the first task. Make sure to use the Thunder Brew near enemies. Then return to Professor Sharp’s class to successfully complete the task.
