Snapdragon has launched a pre-sale of “his” demonstration mobile
The American company Qualcomm has officially started selling “its” first smartphone. Quotation marks are needed because the mobile phone was assembled by ASUS, even though it is basically an imaginary showcase of a giant manufacturer of processors and other components. Just the position of the supplier of the various components is demonstrated on the phone to the maximum extent possible. In short, the Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders contains the best that the company’s factories have officially produced to date.
The phone appeared in the official ASUS e-shop and with it the complete specifications and price. This may seem really high ($ 1499 = approx. CZK 32,000), however, it is necessary to take into account, for example, that this is a demonstration of the best available from one company. Plus it is in a limited edition intended for members of the Snapdragon Insiders program, ie the most loyal supporters. The chipset is Snapdragon 888, which complements the Snapdragon X60 5G modem.
Other Qualcomm “parent” technologies include Quick Charge 5.0, 3D Sonic Sensor or the Spectra 580 Image Signal Processor for cameras. WiFi connectivity is provided by the FastConnect 6900 system supporting speeds of up to 3.6 Gbps for WiFi 6 and 6E. Among other common parameters, let’s mention 6.78″ AMOLED display from Samsung with a resolution of 2448 x 1080 pixels and 144Hz frequencies. The trio of rear cameras is dominated by a 64mpx sensor from Sony. The battery has a capacity of 4000 mAh.
