According to Trendforce, Xiaomi expects the largest growth
South Korean manufacturer Samsung will surpass the level of 276 million devices sold next year, which is about 1.1% year-on-year growth. The company has already managed to optimize the production of its middle and lower middle class smartphones so that they are more competitive. However, as the company already has a huge market share, its year-on-year growth will not be so significant.
Smartphone sales in China are also not expected to grow much, so Chinese companies such as Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo will focus on the global market. Xiaomi reportedly achieves 15.8% growth with 220 million units sold, while Oppo and its sister companies OnePlus and Realme sell only 208 million devices.
Apple also reportedly expects year-on-year growth, namely by 5.4%. However, assuming that in the first quarter it will introduce the new iPhone SE and later of course the flagship iPhone 14 series.
It is also interesting that only the five largest producers redistribute 80% of the total market share. The remaining 294 million devices will remain with all other companies, including brands such as Huawei, Honor, Motorola, Asus, ZTE or Sony.
