Smart ring with bracelet features

Have you ever heard of the smart ring? Isn’t it? Oura Ring is already in its 3rd generation and it is a “fitness ring”. This ring can handle all common tasks that even an average fitness bracelet can handle.

Oura Ring 3 is a smart fitness ring

Oura has been able to cut most of the features you know from smart watches into a ring. This means that this ring will measure your heart rate 24 hours a day, for example. You pair it with your smartphone via Bluetooth and you will find a typical overview of your day in the application. Of course, there are also the so-called Health Insights, ie tips for a healthy lifestyle.

The ring will also measure and analyze your sleep, so if you keep it on your hands overnight. In the morning you will be able to see an analysis of your sleep – whether you did not go to bed late, whether you had a good sleep and so on.

Loaded with functions and sensors

There are also modern sensors that have only recently entered smart watches. For example, blood oxygenation of SpO2. By collecting all the data together, the application will show you your “readiness” score, ie how well you are in the mood to manage the new day.

Measuring during sports must not be missing a good bracelet, but also a fitness ring. Traditionally, in the application you will find statistics about running – route from GPS mobile phone, calories burned, heart rate, speed and the like. The ring activity begins to measure on its own.

The temperature sensor is also interesting, so it is said that the ring has up to 7. They measure your temperature during the day and various activities. Based on all the above mentioned sensors and data, the ring recognizes you and learns to predict what your next days will be like. It’s a really smart ring.

However, some features may not be available yet. Oura claims that the application will receive a Discover tab later this year, an improved sleep measurement algorithm in early 2022 and a menstrual cycle measurement in the summer of 2022.

As is usual with fitness products, Oura also offers a subscription for € 5.99 per month. However, when you buy a ring, you get a free 6-month subscription.

Finally, a few numbers and specifications. Oura Ring 3 is made of titanium, offers 4 to 7 days endurance and can withstand swimming (up to a depth of 100 meters). The weight of the ring can be 4-6 grams and its width is 7.99 mm and thickness 2.55 mm.
