Small, affordable gadgets that make great Sinterklaas gifts

Sinterklaas, but also Christmas is coming. Then it is nice to give small, affordable gadgets. We have listed a few of them.

The holidays are coming. Maybe you don’t do Sinterklaas anymore, but Christmas will soon follow. And it’s easy to think that the best gadget gifts are the fanciest and most expensive things. But there are plenty of options that don’t require you to loot your wallet.

Small affordable gadgets

The gadgets are all reasonably affordable. And are fun to give away. Check them out below.

Google Chromecast

Of course, this gadget can’t be missed. If you’re clueless about a good, inexpensive gift for the techie in your life, you can’t go wrong with a Chromecast. Like other Chromecasts, this Chromecast lets you stream movies and TV shows from major services like Netflix, YouTube, and HBO Max.

The Google TV interface has always been pretty easy to navigate, but it’s easier than ever thanks to the remote that now comes with the Chromecast. It has an Assistant button, which gives you quick access to voice commands, plus a circular D-pad, shortcuts for YouTube and Netflix, and support for HDMI-CEC and IR so you can control your entire TV with it.

KeySmart key holder

Do you know someone who always loses their keys? Who always makes a mess of jingling keys? Then this key holder is really something. The Classic model is best for most people, as it is slim and can hold up to 14 keys in a neat little sandwich of sorts, between two aluminum and stainless steel pieces. It’s easy to stack all your keys on either end of the KeySmart and, once installed, you can only pull out the key you need to unlock your door.

Charging pad

Can we really live without it? Apparently yes, because many people do not have a charging pad yet. And charging pads are like charging cables: it never hurts to have an extra wireless charging pad. Mophie’s 15W pad is one of the nicer ones we’ve seen with its rounded square design, ultrasuede finish and LED indicator light. It’s compact enough to fit on a crowded side table next to your couch or on your desk.

AirTag

Perhaps the ultimate (cheap) gadget of the moment. Apple’s Air Tag. Most of us have someone in our lives who has lost everything – their keys, wallet, purse or backpack, the list goes on. If that person in your life also happens to have an iPhone, AirTags make great gifts. These quarter-sized Bluetooth trackers pair with iOS devices almost instantly and can then be tracked with the Find My app. And they still look beautiful.
