SharePlay feature won’t come to iOS 15 until later

One of the most talked about features of iOS 15 is SharePlay. Unfortunately, we will have to wait a little longer for the feature.

Read on after the ad.

Apple: SharePlay not available until later this fall

Apple has chosen to delay the launch of SharePlay. The new feature won’t be available until later this fall, the company said. This means that SharePlay will not be included in the initial release of iOS 15, iPadOS 15, tvOS 15, and macOS Monterey.

Apple says it is very happy with the enthusiasm for the new feature. “We can’t wait to make the feature available to everyone. Sharing movies, apps and other media with friends and family will never be the same.” SharePlay is certainly not out of the loop – we just have to be patient a little longer.

Why Apple Postpones SharePlay

The reason for the delay is unknown. Chances are, the feature isn’t working properly yet. Apple strives to only make new features available if they are really well put together. It is unknown when the feature will be available to the general public.

Apple has not yet indicated whether Universal Control, another key feature of macOS Monterey and iPadOS 15, will be available during the launch of the new software. The feature was not available in any of the betas until now.

When can you download iOS 15?

This fall comes the iPhone 13 out and then iOS 15 will also appear. Anyone who now runs iOS 14 on her/his iPhone will soon be able to update for free. The public beta of iOS 15 will first appear in July, so that everyone can download it.
