Short film iPhone 13 Pro

In the video titled “Movie Magic,” Apple promotes the camera capabilities of its latest iPhones. They commissioned Dong Hoon Hun and James Thorton for a short science fiction film. In the video they explain how to record special effects with the device that look just like in movies.

Of course, the film was shot by professionals and they use accessories and props that you probably don’t have lying around at home. Still, it’s interesting and inspiring how with a little creativity you can achieve movie-like images with an iPhone 13 Pro.

The video also discusses the Cinematic Mode, called the Film mode in Dutch. With the new function you can record video images with a depth of field effect and that quickly looks great, while it is easy to use. The Movie mode is also available on the two cheaper models: the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini.

Improvements for camera

The iPhone 13 Pro has received a lot of new camera features. In addition to the Movie mode, there is Smart HDR 4. The software recognizes up to four people in a photo and improves the colors, contrast and exposure, so that everyone looks their best.

Also new are the photographic styles. These are smart filters that amplify or tone down certain colors in a photo without affecting the skin tone. Macro photography is also possible with the Pro models, with which the camera focuses up to two centimeters. It provides close-ups of, for example, plants or insects.

Although the iPhone 13 has only just been released, they have already been reduced in price at some webshops. You can read more about this in the article about iPhone 13 offers. Also read our iPhone 13 review.
