SAO Variant Showdown: Bandai Namco announces a new RPG from the famous manga (trailer)

Almost overused on consoles, PC and mobiles, the franchise Sword Art Online (SAO) is available in multiple games in the JRPG genre (rarely masterpieces but not dung either…). Sword Art Online Variant Showdown is the latest variant, and this time, bandai namco confirm that the title will only be reserved for mobile devices running iOS and Android. The first trailer reveals a nice cinematic, some sequences of which seem to have been made with the game engine. As often, it will not be on the technical part that we will find this SAO at fault…

As a reminder, Sword Art Online games all practice a form of “mise en abymes” since the franchise tells stories taking place in virtual immersion video games called “VRMMORPG” (Virtual Reality Multi Massively Online Role Playing Game). SAO Variant Showdown does not yet have a release date, but generally titles in the franchise launch shortly after their official announcement.
