Samsung will remove ads from system applications this year

One of the ways smartphone manufacturers can reduce the cost of their devices is to put ads in the system. Not one manufacturer, including the South Korean company Samsung, has proven this strategy. Of course, users of its products were not thrilled with the ads, especially when they found them in flagship devices. However, according to the Sammobile portal, Samsung reconsidered its decision and decided to remove the ads from system applications.

Samsung has not revealed exactly when it plans to remove the ads

Naturally, users were not thrilled with the ads on the system, and Samsung called on them to remove them. Although it took a while, the company finally decided to back down and satisfied the users.

TM Roh, head of Samsung’s mobile division, announced the removal of ads from system applications this week. He did so when answering the question of why ads are appearing in system applications. The company will implement the change later this year and should apply to all system applications, including Samsung Weather, Samsung Pay and Samsung Theme.

In addition, Samsung said in a statement to The Verge that it appreciates user feedback and will continue to strive to provide them with the best possible user experience. However, it did not disclose the exact or at least approximate date the ads were removed. It is possible that this will happen only when the next version of the One UI extension is introduced.
