Samsung users complain about One UI 5.1 due to shorter battery life
The update to One UI 5.1 has recently been released for a whole series of Samsung devices. Despite not features, the update also brings with it an annoying bug it seems. The battery lasts much less.
Reduced battery life with One UI 5.1
The Samsung Galaxy S23 series shipped right out of the box with One UI 5.1, the company’s latest skin. In recent weeks, the manufacturer has also updated its high-end models of recent years with the update to the One UI 5.1. skin. This mainly brings improvements and optimisations. Now reports are pouring in about the battery life under One UI 5.1. The new version seems to contain a bug that makes the battery last a lot less.
The messages about this are shared on various networks such as Reddit and the Community forum of Samsung itself. The messages mainly come from users of devices from the Galaxy S22 series; the Galaxy S22, S22+ and the S22 Ultra. The number of messages about a shorter battery life is also growing on social networks. A rumor circulating the web is that the fault lies with a bug in the Samsung Keyboard app. Although this does not always seem to cause the problem.
Shorter battery life isn’t the only thing users are complaining about after the One UI 5.1 update. Some users are having problems with Bixby routines not stopping automatically. Problems are also reported with the color palette, which does not match everything, and for some users the name of the device (such as the name for Bluetooth) has changed to a series of random numbers and letters.
Samsung has not yet responded to the messages. We actually expect a new update from Samsung in the long term.
