Samsung stops updates for Galaxy Note 8; changes for Tab S6 and M22
Samsung has made changes to the update policy. The manufacturer stops updates for the Note 8. There are also some changes.
No more updates for Note 8
In October last year, it became clear that Samsung stopped rolling out monthly updates for the Note 8. Now it’s time for the next adjustment of the update policy. The smartphone from 2017 will no longer be kept up to date with updates. Samsung has kept the device up to date with software updates in the past four years, but it is now at the end of its life. Until now, the device received an update once a quarter.
The update schedule has also been adjusted for several other devices. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 will now receive an update every two months, instead of once every three months. This also applies to the Galaxy A90, M10s and M30s, which were not released in our country. New to the list is the Samsung Galaxy M22. This new smartphone, which is also coming to the Netherlands, can expect an update every quarter.
