Samsung shares details about its own July patch: 8 improvements

Every month, Google tackles various vulnerabilities in the Android operating system with its security update. Samsung has now also provided substantive information.

Fewer patches were implemented in the July security update than in previous editions. Still, that doesn’t make this security update any less important. Samsung has already rolled out the update for several smartphones, and it will be available for more devices in the near future.

Samsung has now announced details about the content of its own update. This update was added to Google’s July patch and addresses vulnerabilities targeting Samsung devices. A total of eight vulnerabilities have been fixed.

A leak has been patched that could allow unauthorized access to messages under certain circumstances. In the area of Bluetooth, some fixes have also been released. The security of this could be circumvented in certain cases. Some other patches are also being rolled out.
