Samsung rolls out July update for Galaxy S20 and Note 10 series
Samsung has prepared an update for five devices in the Netherlands. The smartphones from the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note 10 series are updated with a new security patch. It is about the July update that also brings some other improvements.
Galaxy S20 Series: July 2021 Security Update
This week we will receive details from Google about the content of the July security update, but Samsung has already rolled it out for various devices. Today, the manufacturer has started a new round for which the update is available. Jan and Theo let DroidApp know that their Galaxy S20 device will be updated with the latest security patch from July.
The changelog states that there is not only a new security patch. Samsung also promises that the performance of the camera has improved for the three devices from the Galaxy S20 series. Exactly what these are is not specified. Quick Share is also being improved again, with the sharing of files between Galaxy devices with this function better.
The update is now being rolled out for the Samsung Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and the Galaxy S20 Ultra. The Galaxy S20 FE will follow at a later date.
Galaxy Note 10
Samsung is also making the same update available for the Galaxy Note 10 series, Bart and Simon report. Both the Galaxy Note 10 and the Galaxy Note 10 Plus can now see the update on their device. In contrast to the S20, no other improvements or changes are made. This only concerns the July security patch.
