Samsung releases demo on iPhone to win over Apple fans

How do you convince iPhone users to switch to Android? Samsung thinks it has a new weapon in the fray: a demo of Galaxy S23 for iPhone. For example, Apple fans can learn about the benefits of a Galaxy S23.

Apple and Android

Both Apple and Google have made it easier to switch phones in recent years. You used to have to do everything manually when you switched from the Apple ecosystem to Android or vice versa, but that has now been made a little easier. The next step to entice people to choose Android is a demo from Samsung, it turns out.

You can experience how the Galaxy S23, Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 software works with the Try Galaxy demo tool on an Apple phone. We’re especially curious about the demo of the Z 4s, as these are foldable phones: something Apple hasn’t dared to try yet and isn’t expected to do in the future.

Try Galaxy

Try Galaxy is not an application, it’s a website that you add to your home screen as an iPhone user. Curious? Unfortunately, it makes no sense to visit that page on an Android device. This simulation of One UI 5.1 (the Samsung skin on top of Android 13) is only made for the competitor’s devices with the fruit logo. For example, you learn how to navigate and you can tap around a bit. For example, you can use Google Messages, the Camera and the Object Eraser, plus Samsung Health, Smart Switch, Samsung’s child mode and the settings menu.

However, with this experience, Samsung misses the mark a bit when it comes to the smoothness of the experience: there are quite a few delays, so that Samsung may not come out as well as intended. A shame, because it may pull the whole of Android down a bit: everything is in Google’s well-known Material You design. It may not work quite the way things work on Samsung phones themselves, but it’s funny to see that Samsung has come up with such a creative idea to market its phones.
