Samsung gives Galaxy S22 series the latest March security patch

Where we already saw the new March update for the Galaxy S23 series earlier today, it is also the turn of last year’s high-end models. Samsung is rolling out a new March security update for the Galaxy S22 models.

March update for Galaxy S22 series

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series was the first of all Android devices to receive the March security update today. Samsung has got a taste for it, because the update is not only ready for this year’s high-end devices, this now also applies to last year’s high-end models. This means that you will now be offered the update on the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Dimitri will let us know.

The March 2023 security update addresses several dozen vulnerabilities in Android security. In addition, manufacturers are seizing this moment to implement specific brand-specific fixes. The changelog of the update states that the overall stability of features has also been improved. We assume that Samsung will iron out some issues that arose after the One UI 5.1 update with this March patch.

It is a fairly large update with a size of 347.12 MB. You can now download the update on the three devices from the Galaxy S22 series. When you can download it on your smartphone, you will receive a notification on your device. Don’t you want to wait for that? Then you can also manually check for updates via Settings > software update.
