‘Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 comes with a larger battery’
Samsung puts a larger battery in the Galaxy Watch 5, compared to its predecessor. The Galaxy Watch 5 is an upcoming smartwatch from the brand. The Watch 5 will also reappear in two sizes. The watch should be on the market in August or September.

With the launch of the Galaxy Watch 4 last year, Samsung received a lot of positive feedback from users and reviewers. In fact, the market share of Google’s Wear OS operating system for smartwatches has skyrocketed just with the launch of this watch. The switch from the proprietary Tizen system to Wear OS allowed the Watch 4 to work with apps. However, those smart functions also have an impact on the battery.
Samsung seems to be aware of this with the development of the Watch 5, because that watch will have a larger battery capacity. That seems from information from a South Korean inspection body. It comes with a 276 mAh battery compared to 247 mAh with the Watch 4. That’s an increase of almost 12 percent. Suppose the hardware and software of the watches are the same, the Watch 5 should work for a few hours longer.

Furthermore, it has already been leaked that two more models of the watch will appear. A Galaxy Watch 5 and a larger model, possibly dubbed “Galaxy Watch 5 Classic.” The leaked battery capacity belongs to the smaller base model, but we expect that the capacity of the larger model will also increase.
Last week it was also announced that the Galaxy Watch 5 will appear with a thermometer for the first time. The watch must therefore detect changes in your body temperature in order to determine a fever in time. External factors such as incident sunlight or sports activities should not affect the temperature measurement incorrectly. The Galaxy Watch 5 will probably be in stores in August or September.
