Galaxy S22 series gets October patch

Google has not yet said anything about it, but Samsung is already rolling it out for the devices from the Galaxy S22 series; the security update of October 2022. The latest update will now be rolled out in the Netherlands and Belgium, Eric let us know. His Galaxy S22 Ultra sees the update roll in. In addition, the update is also being rolled out for the Samsung Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy S22+. This makes Samsung ahead of the Pixel devices.

Because Google itself has not yet shared data about the October patch, we don’t know exactly what improvements have been made yet. The same applies to the patches from Samsung that are added to the update by the manufacturer every month. We’ll probably hear more about that next week. For now we just have to make do with the changelog message; ‘your device’s security has been improved‘.
