Samsung Galaxy Note 10 (+) receives an update on Android 11

11.1.2021 – Update to Android 11 and One UI 3.0 is already available for Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ in Slovakia. At least for models from Slovak distribution. This was confirmed by the reader Tomáš, whom we thank for the tip.

Samsung has moved significantly forward with updates recently. This year’s flagships from the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series have already received Android 11 together with the One UI 3.0 superstructure. The manufacturer did not forget the popular Samsung Galaxy S20 FE. The surprise was the update of the Galaxy S10 Lite model, which received it before last year’s flagships.

Now it’s time for the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ models, which receive Android 11 and One UI 3.0. Samsung managed to do it this year, but the update will probably reach Slovakia at the beginning of next year. Users from Germany are already reporting its availability, informs Sammobile.

The update also introduces a December security patch. The device should notify you automatically. If not, just enter the settings and search for it manually. As always, we recommend a Wi-Fi connection or a sufficiently large data package from the operator before downloading. The battery should also be at least 50 percent charged.

Samsung has recently significantly improved its update speed. We’re just in early December and the Galaxy Note 10+ is already receiving a December security update.

Its size is approximately 134 MB. The manufacturer claims that, among other things, the stability of the system and its speed have been improved. We recommend that you download the update via Wi-Fi, and don’t forget to charge your smartphone at least 50%.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10+: The November Update is Here!

Samsung has recently begun distributing a new software update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+. According to the system overview, this looks like a fairly standard security patch for November 2020. The novelty has already reached smartphones from Slovak distribution.

The update is available as N975FXXU6DTJ4 / N975FOXM6DTJ4 / N975FXXU6DTJ2 and does not provide anything other than the classic batch of security hole patches according to the available details. There is a mandatory formula for an overall improvement in the stability of functions, but do not expect any dramatic improvements to the system.

The description of the changes also includes mandatory formulas on bug fixes, better stability or higher performance of the smartphone. In any case, this is a security patch.

We recommend that you charge the battery to at least 50% before starting the installation. If possible, download the update itself via Wi-Fi so that you do not exchange data unnecessarily. Of course, this does not apply if you have a package with a data volume that you do not use up, or you have unlimited data. The November update size for Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ is 167 MB.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10+: The update increases the security of the smartphone

Samsung’s flagship smartphones have been guaranteed upgrades for three generations. This also applies to last year’s model Samsung Galaxy Note 10+, which now receives the October security patch.

Don’t expect anything new except the October security patch

The software update is labeled N975FXXS6DTI5, is available as OTA, and is 138.4 MB in size. Such a small size indicates that the user cannot expect a new version of the system or an extension from it. He only received it recently with his smaller sibling Galaxy Note 10. Specifically, it was a version of the One UI 2.5 extension, which brought him, for example, support for the DeX wireless mode function.

The current update therefore uses this extension and Android 10. Its main task is to improve the security of Galaxy Note 10 Plus with the October security patch of the system. In addition to fixing security flaws, it should optimize device performance. Before updating, make sure that the battery is at least 70% charged.

Real improvements are yet to come

Although the current update did not bring anything significant, the owners of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ can look forward to a more substantial update in the near future. It will include the new Android 11 system with the new Samsung One UI 3.0 extension.

Android 11 should bring changes to notifications that will always display incoming messages from communication applications on top. At the same time they will also minimize to floating bubbles. The Power button gives you quick access to credit card withdrawals in Google Pay and quick control of connected smart devices at home. Security will also increase.

You will be able to grant applications permission once and you will be able to automatically reset permissions when not using applications. One UI 3.0 will improve the functionality and usability of the camera’s autofocus and autoexposure. The functionality of the Always-On display or Samsung DeX mode will also be improved. The layout of graphical elements in notifications, volume controls, or application folders changes. And the items will be reorganized in the settings for faster access.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ has been on the market for over a year, but is still one of the best smartphones on the market. Thanks to the latest update, which brings a superstructure Samsung One UI 2.5, will now be an even better device. Reader Samuel pointed to the availability of the update, and we thank him.

A September security patch is also included

The software update is available via OTA and is labeled N975FXXU6DTH7. Its size is 1148.07 MB. It’s still built on last year’s version of Android 10, but it brings its September security patch. It fixes several security flaws that could be exploited by malicious software.

The main improvement, however, is the graphical extension in the Samsung One UI 2.5 version, which was first introduced by the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and Galaxy Note 20 smartphones. Before installing the update, make sure that your smartphone is charged to at least 70% of its battery capacity. The lower model Samsung Galaxy Note 10 does not yet announce to us in the editorial office the availability of the update with the One UI 2.5 extension and the September security patch.

What does Samsung One UI 2.5 bring?

Probably the most interesting feature of the One UI 2.5 extension is the Wireless DeX desktop mode. Unlike the original Samsung DeX, no cable is required. All you need is a compatible Samsung smart TV and your smartphone will show you a desktop interface similar to a PC with all the applications in your smartphone. Its display then serves as a touchpad and keyboard, but it is also possible to connect a bluetooth keyboard and mouse.

Another feature is the professional video recording mode Pro Video Mode. It allows a wider selection of video resolutions and frequencies or the ability to select audio input (front, rear, both, via USB or Bluetooth). You will also enjoy a more detailed analysis of available Wi-Fi networks or SOS messages for quick help.

Single Take mode allows you to select a recording length of 5 to 15 seconds. Bitmoji stickers for Always-on display, split keyboard for landscape mode or setting of SOS messages every 30 minutes for 24 hours have been added.

Company Samsung is already preparing for the introduction of another series of Galaxy Note 20 flagships, but at the same time it does not forget about last year’s generation. A new smartphone update is already available in Slovakia Samsung Galaxy Note 10. What does it bring?

Improved stability, camera, touch and even the latest security patch

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 came on the market at the end of August last summer as a more compact and cheaper model from the series. Despite the absence of a micro SD slot, it is a top smartphone, which, thanks to the S-pen, does not have much competition on the market. An update of the Galaxy Note 10 model with the designation N970FXXU4CTE9 and a size of 809.25 MB has now arrived in our newsroom. Once installed, system performance and stability will be improved. Corrections of some errors are also a matter of course.

The Camera application should be just as stable and also connect via Wi-Fi. The response of the display to the touch is improved. The update also includes the June 10 security patch for Android 10. Before installing the update, make sure you have a battery charged to at least 70% of its capacity and are connected to free Wi-Fi so that you don’t miss out on mobile data.

Will the successor to the Galaxy Note 20 bring a flat screen?

In two months, we should see a successor to this model called the Samsung Galaxy Note 20. According to the latest speculation, published by the portal SamMobile, should return to the flat screen. The curved display will remain with the larger Samsung Galaxy Note 20+. Such a move by Samsung would not be so surprising. This year he released a light version of last year’s flagships.

Although it had an older processor, a camera, it lacked water resistance or wireless charging, but it offered a desktop AMOLED display. Many fans of the Galaxy Note series have been calling for a long time after his return, because, unlike the curved display, it does not distort the image and the S Pen writes better on it.
